Following its world premiere, the fourth-generation Škoda Octavia was unveiled to the world in Prague,
being hosted by the Trade Fair Palace – one of National Gallery Prague’s venues – in the Czech capital.
It was presenting a number of technological firsts for the Czech brand’s best-seller like a new multi-level
instrument panel, a head-up display and the DSG transmission with a shift-by-wire system.
Michael Kuehbandner was in charge for the creative lighting conception and design of the reveal show, as well as for the aftershow event. Several LED washlights were equipped with mirrors to reflect and deflect lighting beams and to create the „crystalline tunnel“ which the client was asking for. Also 20 static mirrors were installed along the catwalk to reflect the lighting beams from above and to create the three dimensional crystalline structure. After the Reveal the guests were invited to enjoy the evening with traditional czech gastronomical specialities and a live concert of the gorgeous Band „Time For Three“, ia classically-trained string trio that explores a variety of musical genres.
